Groove Theory- Tell me (Siik remix)
Tell me x Thieves in the night (Black Star)
I’m a total sucker for mashups, especially when they are well made. Siik provides top notch quality mashups for days.

Yuna- Live Your Life
Yuna has an amazing voice. I know what you’re thinking- this sounds like it was produced by Pharrell. That’s because it was. Catch her on Conan tonight!
Nujabes- Kiss of Life (ft. Giovanca and Benny Sings)
Nujabes, Benny Sings, Sade cover. Perfection at its finest <3
Things to purchase when I get the monies:
Working towards it slowly but surely :)
Patrick Stump was always my favorite Fall Out Boy. Watch as he performs a mash-up of “This is how we do it,” “Every little step,” “Motown Philly,” and “Poison”.
That voice… that hair???
Sosupersam is sosuperhawt. I love her music. I always have respect for DJs, even more so when they are female AND have a dope taste in music (and by “dope taste” I mean their mixes don’t contain strictly top 40s).
Thanks for dropping Toro Y Moi up in it too. I love it. Her other mixes are AHMAAAZING.
A DJ AND fashion publicist??? So talented.
Yuna- Paranoid (Kanye West cover)
Easily one of my favorite artists- great original music as well as covers (which these days is hard to sift through on Youtube). Makes me want to travel to Malaysia and check out their music scene. Particularly Yuna and Zee Avi <3
Although social networking and being in contact with a touch of a button is becoming increasingly popular, I am starting to think that the value of social interactions is actually declining.
We walk on the street, we ride public transportation, we dine, and we drink- but we are all looking at our phones. We don’t enjoy the beauty of the walk, ignore our surroundings on the bus, and can’t touch our food or drinks without taking a picture first. We have lunch with our friends, but we text other people.
I am guilty of all of the above.
So what I am proposing is not a big change- I challenge you to decrease the quantity of time spent on your phone and increase the quality of your relationship with your family, friends, and peers. Really listen to your companions instead of checking your phone frequently during your time with them. Really stop to smell the flowers instead of completely bypassing them because you were staring at your phone screen. Really- put your phone down every now and then.
While social networking is a great way to keep in contact with friends despite busy and differing schedules, don’t forget to keep it old school every now and then. Call them, meet up with them when you can, or even send them snail mail. By decreasing the amount of time spent on your phone, you increase the amount of time you spend with the people and things that genuinely matter. We need more face time and less “FaceTime”.
Bright Eyes- First Day of my Life
Who do you think of when you watch this?
Nujabes ft. Cise Star- Sky is Tumbling
Off his posthumously released album Spiritual State- and rightly named. May your spirit rest in peace.
